Our Support

In its service provisions, SAS works in close cooperation with government ministries, such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Community Development and Sports and the National Council of Social Service for funding of its programmes. Other avenues of financial assistance and support are well-wishers, corporate as well as individuals. The Home is indeed very fortunate to have caring people who assist the Home as volunteers by helping, interacting and cheering the old folks during their visits.

Organizing Festive Celebrations

Towards achieving the objective of living a fuller and more meaningful life, constant interaction with others in a social context is a necessity. To this end, many community clubs, centers, corporate organizations, religious groups and associations, as well as schools groups visit the Residents frequently. They hold conversations, help to feed and serve besides also giving support to our Home both in monetary donations as well as daily consumables and basic necessities. Moreover, they contribute to the Residents' well-being by their regular visits and sometimes performing on stage by songs and dances to entertain them, especially celebrating the major festive occasions and events in a big way. In this manner, the Residents continue to feel socially connected and integrated.

We gratefully acknowledge the continued support given by the Ministry of Health officials, MCDS, NCSS and various philanthropic foundations and bodies.
